Electricity and water are supplied within the Baan Sammi property by an underground PVC pipe system.
The information in this chapter is not relevant to most tenants. This chapter displays a rough site plan to show the approximate route of the underground PVC pipes, for the following main reason:
If excavation work is to be carried out on pathways, driveways, and planted areas, you should first check where underground PVC pipes might be laid so that you can dig carefully or carry out the excavation work elsewhere. As the pipes often run just a few centimeters (usually 10 to 25 cm) below the surface, caution is advised even at shallow digging depths. For example, if you want to put bamboo, wooden, or iron posts into the soil to support climbing plants or add sprinkler heads, you need to know where the underground pipes are.
In the Office of Baan Sammi (Clerodendrum Chalet West), there is a folder containing site plans and survey measurements for all underground pipes for electricity, village tap water, and irrigation water.
The site plan above shows the approximate location of all underground pipes. The location of the irrigation water pipes is shown for reference: main lines E (blue), C (orange), W (red), and S (green), including the secondary lines and outlet taps.
Both the village tap water lines and the electricity lines are shown in grey. However, if both or one of them run parallel and close to an irrigation water pipe, they are not shown on the site plan. In that case, these routes are described as follows:
● Main electricity line for Plumeria Home (PH): from the main fuse (at the west side of Clerodendrum Chalet West) to Plumeria Bungalow (PB).
● Main electricity line for Dillenia Home (DH): from the main fuse to PB, continued along the irrigation water pipe W to the north side of Dillenia Bungalow (DB).
● Main electricity line for Moonlight Pavilion (Tai Saeng Chan Pavilion, TSCP): from the main fuse to PB, continued along the irrigation water pipe W to the south side of TSCP.
● Main electricity line for Lychee Lodge (LL): from the main fuse above ground to the bike port (MP), continued underground along the main driveway to the southern part of the storage hut (SH) behind LL.
● Electricity lines for garden lighting: the lines are usually parallel with the lines E, C, and W.
● Village tap water lines: the lines start from the water meter at the main gate (Gate 1), one line continues to the pump hut at the rear of Plumeria Bungalow (PB), thereafter divides to PB and, under pathways, to Lychee Lodge (LL) and the Clerodendrum Chalets (CC), respectively; another line extends under pathways and driveways toward the pump hut next to Moonlight Pavilion (TSCP) and farther to the pump hut next to Dillenia Bungalow (DB).
