- Availability: Propane gas in gas bottles is no longer available as standard in Baan Sammi, but only in exceptional cases for cooking near the houses (not indoors). The outdoor areas of Khilek Pavilion, Chom Doi Pavilion, and Lychee Lodge are suitable for cooking with gas.
- The costs depend on the gas consumption and can be calculated by weight with an accuracy of ±1 kg. The total filling of a gas bottle is 33 lb = 15 kg.
- Safety: Each gas bottle has a valve and a pressure regulator. After each use of gas for cooking, the valve on the gas bottle must be turned off immediately.
- How to turn on the gas:
• Turn on the valve (not more than a quarter left turn) of the gas bottle.
• Press down the button of the pressure regulator for half to one second.
• Turn on the switch of the gas cooker. - How to turn off the gas:
• Turn off the switch of the gas cooker.
• Turn off the valve (right turn) of the gas bottle. - Caution: Never fully turn up the valve of the gas bottle, and never forget to turn off the valve after usage! The thread of the valve and connections might not be sufficiently tight, due to bad maintenance of gas bottles by the gas bottle filling company.
- Troubleshooting: If the gas stove does not ignite a flame, this usually has a single causes: The gas bottle is empty.
